Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |
Is there any magic way to change the os language, programs, etc to another language
I have a perfectly running win 7 pro installation, all in English and I have a friend who wants to buy it to use in Spanish. Is there anyway to do this to the entire system_
Win7Pro, I5 CPU, 8Gb RAM, SSD boot drive, external 4Tb SSD storage
I seem to recall from days of old, that MS sold Windows licenses based on the language; that if you wanted to change the OS language, you needed to purchase a new license to install (which can then be done from a MCT ISO).
I may have this wrong, or it may have changed in the meantime?
Thanks to all for the suggestions. The new owner says she will slug it out in English as far as the OS goes, and just try to change it to Spanish in any apps she’s using. Let’s all wish her good luck.
The Win7Pro on there runs nicely even though the box is a low end HP, with only 4Gb RAM. Still runs way better than the original Win10 that was on there. Since I haven’t heard from her in nearly a month, I’d assume she’s doing ok. Thanks again to all contributors
