    I have a Toshiba Internal Player in a Dell Inspiron 3650
    running under WIN 10 64 bits

    I want to convert the Player to Region 0

      The players start out as all region models until protected media is played for the first time. You need to do research about your Toshiba model number as it will likely require patched firmware which may not exist.

      That is about all I can tell you in part due to the AskWoody rules, linking to software of possible dubious origin and lack of the player’s model number.

        There is not a way make the Toshiba DVD drive region free using the Windows DVD region change dialog box.

      … and region 0 is special. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if converting to that just didn’t work.

      Then, some DVD drives can’t switch regions in software anyway – most of these would be hardcoded, but some few may be regionless (less unlikely in very old models).

      There might be a chance that the VLC player may play your DVDs. The last time I tried several years ago the results reading from a DVD drive were not smooth, but for windows this maybe be your better bet without going to using GNU/Linux.
