It appears the venerable IrfanView does not offer an app, and Win10 does not provide a way to assign the executable to graphic files. Is there a away?

Hah! Answer is GodMode: Create new folder, name it “GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}” (no quotes).

Or you could have right clicked on any graphic then click on ‘Open with’, then ‘choose default program’.

Note that the Godmode folder only works from the desktop.

Or in IrfanView click “Options/Set file associations”.
