Would appreciate suggestions on where to purchase hardware such as CD ROM Drives at low prices. Thanks.

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

AskWoody LoungerAugust 4, 2001 at 4:11 am #535975Head over to Pricewatch and check it out. This is the mother of all cheap internet deals.
From experience, watch out online, and make sure the return/exchane policy is posted – lest you get burned. You want your hardware to work when you get it and if it doesn’t, you can’t hop in a car and go back to the store.
Cough cough good luck finding a good deal!

AskWoody_MVPAugust 3, 2001 at 5:22 pm #535884I have foud that here in the greater Seattle area that most OEM’s are competive and get good service. Besides if I have a problem with the device I can reach accross the counter and get a hand full if they will not listen. Can’t do that with a 800 number.
I have even had good luck with CompUSA and Best Buys in the local stores. Things my be cheaper across the net , but when you throw in the shipping and NO support except for a long wait on a 800 number are you really getting a good price.DaveA I am so far behind, I think I am First
