Cascading form (2003 )

We have a cascading form that was done in 2003. It is locked. If you are using a computer with 2003, you can unlock it and relock it. However, if you have 2007, you cannot unlock it. Even if you save it as 2007.

Can you save it unlocked in 2003, and then work on it in 2007?

I don’t know how to do this except by adding the “Protect Document…” buttons to your Quick Access Toolbar. The two I have used either open a Task Pane or bring up a small dialog where you can protect or unprotect a forms protected form.

Go to Office Button > Word Options > Customize and set your view to show the Commands NOT in the Ribbon and find the one called ‘Protect Document’. Add it to your QAT and then try it out.
