Outlook 365 is refusing to display any images embedded in HTML emails. Image display has been sluggish and uneven previously. A message with multiple images might show a couple of them and leave the rest to placeholders. I can see colored fonts of different sizes and other HTML features, not not images. The problem has been worsening for months, but as of today, I see only text in my emails.

“Click here to view it [the message] in a web browser” brings up Edge with a listing of URLs to the individual images, along with the message text. This is not especially helpful.

My internet connection is solid, with 380+ Mbps down and 39 Mbps up, and I run Net Uptime Monitor to tell me if there are interruptions. There were none (there seldom are) while I was reading emails this morning.

Does anyone have suggestions as to how I can get Outlook to start displaying images again?

      Hi WScopwriter

Could be a few things to try one at a time

Clearing all of the Edge and IE temporary cache and history

Unchecking “Do not save encrypted pages to disk” in “Internet Properties” “Advanced” on the system if it is ticked. Type in Start which will bring up
      “Internet Properties”

      See:

The Linked image cannot be displayed error in an Outlook email message

That worked for the most part. There are a still a few messages where images don’t load 100%, but I’m better off than I was. Thanks for the help.
