Cannot View Images ??? (6)

People…

A friend of mine is telling me he is no longer able to view images on web pages (running IE6.) He says, instead of an image…he gets a gray box (the same size as what the image should be.) Has anyone ever heard of this? I told him I might be able to help him through some folks at the lounge.

Stupid question: has your friend accidentally cleared the “Show Pictures” check box in the Multimedia section of the Advanced tab of Tools | Internet Options…?

Might want to restart Windows in case some low level graphics code has gone haywire.

I sent him the info on the Show Pictures checkbox…& an informational from Microsoft tech support (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=283807%5B/url%5D), which starts off w/ that fix; & continues on w/ others.)
