My Outlook Business Contact Manager is broken. I get the message in the attached screenshot. I tried ‘Detect and Repair’ and also ‘change’ from Add/Remove programs, but I get the message ‘The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it.’ and the Add/Remove programs applet exits. Obviously I have the program CD. How do I get round this? Alternatively, how can I repair the Business Contact Manager database, which is what appears to be broken. I ran the Inbox repair tool but that did not help.

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

AskWoody MVPNovember 28, 2006 at 1:28 am #1040675This can happen if your local installation source is corrupted or you let the Windows XP cleanup tool run on the MSOCache folder. See Change the Local Installation Source After the Installation – Office 2003 Resource Kit – Microsoft Office Online for more information on turning off the local installation source so you could just use the CD.
