I have never had this problem before – Epson printer monitor says printer is ready, so does “printers and faxes” but even after cold reboot Windows wants to print everything to file, *.prn. PDFs, .docs, .rtfs, any format I can think of – same problem.

    All help gratefully received.

The best thing I can tell you.Install Revo uninstall in order to remove all the drivers for your printer. Here’s the link for the FREE program;Revo uninstaller READ the instructions very carefully. Then disconnect your Epson from your tower. Then go to the epson web site & down load the latest drivers for your model.

Thank you – we’ll see. I have Revo and hope it can find all the Epson drivers.

Rejoice! Uninstalling the printer and reinstalling with a very convenient downloaded driver utility from Epson has cured the problem.
I still wonder whether I gave a wrong instruction or a file became corrupted!

      Anyway, I’m much obliged.
