Can I get e-mail notification of posts in the Blog (aka Home tab)?

I’d like to get an e-mail notification when there is a new post in the Blog (aka the Home tab). I don’t text, so e-mail notification is my choice. Is it possible to get these? If so, how do I sign up?

I have been using the RSS Feed in my browser (Firefox) to list the latest Topics posted on the Main Blog.

It would be nice if I could get it this way, but I don’t think things are happening right when I click on the RSS icon.

I use Firefox. I get a dialog box to either Open the file or Save the file. If I choose ‘Open’, I have to choose the application. Many apps will not open it (Acrobat Reader, for example). Firefox and Notepad will open the file, but it’s in code. See attached snapshots. If I choose to ‘Save’ and then read it, I have to choose an app that will read it. If an app will read it, it is displayed as code (again).

So, some step seems to be missing, because nothing I have on my laptop will display it like your screenshot. Either that, or this is something that does not work on a laptop.

Can you help me out?

That might be easier.  It will send you an email when there is a new blog post.  That’s the alternative way that I set up for subscribers.

I don’t see you in the mailing list database? Did you confirm the subscription – you should get a final email asking you to confirm you want to sign up, otherwise it won’t sign you up.

I did this yesterday evening (June 11), right after your post. But today, I received no e-mail notification about the most recent blog/home post entitled ‘Working on “the basics of the forum” instruction’, which was posted on June 12, even though I am subscribed to that topic. I checked my SPAM filter but it didn’t end up there.

The last e-mail notification I received about ANY of my subscriptions was June 10 post #2452514.
