Not sure if this can be addressed here!
I have a web page “A” – I want to insert contents of page “B” into one of the cells in a table of page A.
What do I need to do in FP2K?
    Thanks

Have you tried an include page?
With the cursor in the cell of the table choose Insert, Component, Include Page . Select the page you want to place inside the table.

Thanks – Yes I didi but include page would only let insert a page from the same domain. I need to bring contents of a page from another domain.

Oh! Try an inline frame then. I think the best way to do that is through the html window in FrontPage.
The code for an inline frame is like this:

[Your browser does not support frames.
              Visit link text]

Obviously, you’ll play with the width, height, scrolling and frameborder options until they look right on your page.

Magic – Thanks a lot Web Genii smile
I always thought there must be some command to fetch a cell from another page like we can load GIFs from other domains and paged.
            Thanks once again.

How is it you guys seem to know what we want before we know. This include frame is precisely what I wanted to keep me from having to update my site every day for a about a month.

            See http://golf-in-wales.com/south/royalporthcawl/entries.htm for the results

        Catharine,

Since you’re a server doyenne as well as FrontPage coach, maybe you can help me figure something out. I’m part of a team that works on the Overseas Private Investment Corporation site (http://www.opic.gov). We’ve got a standard footer on all our pages stored in a file called bottom.htm, & we use the include webbot to … uh … include bottom.htm on each page. The problem we’re having is that when we make a change to bottom.htm, it’s only reflected on a certain number of pages & not others. That is, the pre-update version of the footer is what you see when you browse to most pages, but a small number of them show the updated version.

Attempts were made to use a shared border to the same effect, but it didn’t work out (I don’t know why since that was before I started here). The guy on the MS help line didn’t seem to know any more than we had already learned from the knowledge base & posts on other discussion groups. Have you ever seen anything like this, & if so do you know a remedy?

        thanks very much
        Mark

doyenne – you know that word distracted me so much I almost forgot to answer your question grin

First off the bat – make sure you are not dealing with cache issues in the browser. I know, you’ve probably checked that – but It has to be said.
Also, are you sure that it is the same file you are referencing on each page?
If it is the same info on every page – I’d sure be tempted to go back to a shared border. Have you experimented with that?
I’ll think about it while I’m on doyenne kitchen duty… grin

          Cheers
