Maybe I’m going daft in my old age, but this is a real puzzle. Using the Calendar wizard to create a document I click on a date then do a Find, Replace, More, Format Font to change the font colour. Replace All just replaces the colour for that month. Press Select All and the whole doc isn’t selected. Trying a different tack, the Select All option next to the style is greyed out and the Select All button won’t work. Arrrgh.

I’m not familiar with the Calendar Wizard, but can you post the problem document here so we can see what’s causing your problem.

Here comes the appropriately named doc calendarwoes.doc with Select All just colouring the days of one month.

The problem is that each table is in a separate Text Box.

Word organises the text in a number of “Story Ranges”. The text of the main document is one StoryRange, Headers and Footers are different Story Ranges, and each Text Box is yet another Story Range. The Find command will search the main story and all headers and footers, but text boxes are separate and a search will only find things in the current text box.

Thanks. I feared as much. So there’s no way round this – programmatically, perhaps? Or just a thought – by linking the text boxes?

If you copy each table, then delete the text box and paste the table back into the document, you can at least treat the days in one fell swoop. See attached version.

Your numeric dates seem to be in a separate style from the other items (year, month, and day names). Would modifying the style (change font color) be an acceptable approach?
