Calculating time

Excel 2000. I need to add minutes and seconds of cell phone use to minutes and seconds of radio use. I can’t figure out how to do it so that if the answer ends up in hours and minutes the result shows as minutes and seconds. Help!!

Create a custom format of [m]:ss (with the brackets around the m)and use this format on the cell where the sum is located.
