Ok…I am brain dead from all the holidays. I need to create a simple spreadsheet with a list of task and the number of minutes it took to complete the task. Once all totaled for the day, I divided by 60 (for mintues) but I get an funny number. IS there a formula to take total minutes and covert to actual hours and minutes?

Are you entering the durations as a number (e.g. 23) or as a time value (e.g. 0:23) ?

Just as a number…28 minutes is entered as 28.

in that case, dividing the sum by 60 should work. Try the following:
          – Select the cell with the formula.
          – Select Format | Cells…
          – In the Number tab, select General format.
          – Click OK.

You can also select Number format, with 0, 1 or 2 decimal places.
