Bullet or Numbered List (Excel XP)

Is there a similar option for inserting bullet or number list in excel like the one in word? I have a 7 page form that i have to had numbers to rows without inserting a column or additional rows. I would appreciate any help, thanks.

For bullets, see post 63079. For numbers, it is easiest to insert a narrow column and use a number format such as “#,##0.” If you cannot insert a column, what kind of data do you have on this form?

If you can’t insert a column in your current spreadsheet, can you copy the column which you want formatted to an empty document, insert a column and reformat there, and copy the data back to the original workbook?

eg, copy the column into column 1 of an empty worksheet. Copy this formula into cell B1:
=ROW(A1) & ” ” & A1
and copy this formula down for every cell which has data in column A. Highlight column B, and copy it. Go back to your original worksheet, then Edit, Paste Special, Values

Could you write it in word with all the formatting at your fingertips and then copy the text (or sections) if appropriate and then PASTE – Special – Picture into excel?

You get the formatting as you want it and the added benefit of screwing around with the HR people since the words you put in are NOT text but actually a picture.
