• Bulk edit of Edge Favorites – possible?

I run Edge on my Windows 11 laptop.  Per the title, is there a software tool, or other way, to do a bulk edit of my Favorites ?  For example, I have hundreds of folders in my Favorites that start with “0_” that I would like to get rid of (the “0_”) not the folders themselves.

    Thank for your help,

There are many free rename utilities like : Portable ReNamer , Portable Rename Master…that will bulk change all file names in folders.

Thank you Alex5273.  Will they work with Edge folders?

I’m trying to rename stuff in my Edge Bookmarks folder, located at:

      C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default

Has anyone successfully used a renamer to do that?

Your Favorites are stored in an XML file named bookmarks in the path you specified. There are many tools available to edit XML files.

There should be backup files of the bookmarks you could copy somewhere to experiment with.
