Hi, I am Frank. I work as an IT tech supporting 80 users for a retail clothing company.
    Random BSOD’s, show up for 6 users all running Win7Pro, SP1, 64bit Ver. 6.1.7601 Build 7601
I attached a mini.dmp file that maybe of help. I have turned off each pc and restarted each to this:
“Windows had recovered from an unexpected shutdown. Windows can check on line for a solution”
If I click the View button this is the data that shows up:
    1033 Local ID
    BCCode a
    BCP1 0000000000000000
    BCP2 0000000000000002
    BCP3 0000000000000000
    BCP4 FFFFF80002CF3F74
    OS 6_1_7601
    SP 1_0
    Product 256_1

Let me know if you need software & hardware details of each PC. They are all Lenovo Series M Thinkcentre Desktops,
running Intel processors, chipsets and onboard network/sound/video.

    Signed: Frank in Portland, OR…………..Thanks!

      Welcome Frank,

Unfortunately, that dump seems to be corrupt, I cannot get any real data from it. Could you access the dumps from the other 5 machines, add them to a single zip and upload them please?

From the evidence I can see, I guess it may be Symantec – a bad definition update, or a Windows Update that’s triggered a compatibility issue with an older driver?

Generic info on the 0xA BSOD (ignore the latter part in brackets):

      STOP 0x0000000A: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Usual causes: Kernel mode driver, System Service, BIOS, Windows, Virus scanner, Backup tool, compatibility

      WinDbg Help File Entry:
The IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL bug check has a value of 0x0000000A. This indicates that Microsoft Windows or a kernel-mode driver accessed paged memory at DISPATCH_LEVEL or above.

To resolve an error caused by a faulty device driver, system service, or BIOS

      Restart your computer.
Press F8 at the character-based menu that displays the operating system choices.
Select the Last Known Good Configuration option from the Windows Advanced Options menu. This option is most effective when only one driver or service is added at a time.

To resolve an error caused by an incompatible device driver, system service, virus scanner, or backup tool

Check the System Log in Event Viewer for error messages that might identify the device or driver that caused the error.
(Try disabling memory caching of the BIOS.
Run the hardware diagnostics supplied by the system manufacturer, especially the memory scanner. For details on these procedures, see the owner’s manual for your computer.
Make sure the latest Service Pack is installed.
If your system has small computer system interface (SCSI) adapters, contact the adapter manufacturer to obtain updated Windows drivers. Try disabling sync negotiation in the SCSI BIOS, checking the cabling and the SCSI IDs of each device, and confirming proper termination.
For integrated device electronics (IDE) devices, define the onboard IDE port as Primary only. Also, check each IDE device for the proper master/subordinate/stand-alone setting. Try removing all IDE devices except for hard disks.)

Hello Satrow, Frank here. Thanks for looking at the dmp file I sent. There are 3 more I have in a zip folder for you to check.
Not sure of steps from here to upload it per your instructions.

Thanks again for your time and help.

Just attach the zip to a post as you did the first time 😉

        TO: SATROW

Here are the three DMP files(in a single zip folder–all in a single file).
Let me know if you need more info . Thanks for your time and help.

Um, I need the raw dump data as created, each dump needs to be intact and unmodified, copy all 3 *.dmp files to your Desktop, select them and right-click > Send to Compressed folder – that compressed folder (zip file) is what I need.

Any changes to the contents of the dumps makes them unusable.
