How do you get a row to break across a page boundary? We have a row with a large amount of text and it will not break across the page, leaving a big gap at the bottom of the prior page.

I don’t know that it can be done.
I tried using VBA to insert a pagefeed character into a string and that didn’t work. I’m all out of any other ideas other than splitting the cell.

Thanks, Andrew. I’m a total novice with Excel and I have to convert a large chart with several columns of text from MS Word to Excel. Someone here in the office found a small Excel manual, so at least I have a little help. It’s really the kind of thing that works best in Word, but the client wants it in Excel, so guess who’s “right”?

Unless it is important that the text be all in one cell or row, split the text into two chunks and put them in separate consectutive rows. Ugly, but simple!

Thank you, John. It worked and helped save me tonight. Our firm does almost no Excel work, so none of us knows how to use it. Someone found a small Excel manual, so between it and the answers here, I’m getting through it.
