“MS has known about the problem since the end of June and decided to release KB4025336 anyway.”

I found this on another site when I could not update 7/11/2017.

This is for Win8.1 – July Security Monthly QualityRollup and Cumulative Update for IE11.

This is premature speculation, but I wonder if it’s a coincidence that 2 of the corresponding patches for Win7 – KB 4025337 and KB 4025252 – are also causing problems, namely the BSOD.

Security and quality rollup for .net KB4019112
Cumulative Security update for Explorer 11 KB4025252
2017-07 Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows Server 2008 R2 KB4025341

One of these patches caused IIS Web Server application pools to revert to .Net Framework 2.0 from their existing settings running 4.0.
