I’ve just upgraded from Win 7 home to Win 10 home on my Dell Inspiron 15 N5010 laptop. The installation seems to have decided that the built-in Bluetooth (which worked fone in Win 7) isn’t compatible with Win 10 and removed it. So neither my “Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000” or “Targus Bluetooth Presenter” unfortunately no longer works with my laptop!

The Dell support website simply says that my laptop model isn’t being tested for Win 10 (and presumably therefore isn’t going to be supported!). I guess I must now assign the bluetooth mouse and presenter to the rubbish bin – but I’m reluctant and very frustrated to do this as the computer is less than 5 years old.

As a last resort before taking this step I thought I would ask you vastly experienced people whether you know of any solutions to my problem? Thanks,

    Bob

Sorry – I forgot to make it clear that both Win 7 and Win 10 installations are 64-bit

You might try to identify the Bluetooth OEM and go there for a driver.

Bob – Your laptop uses a Bluetooth radio badged Dell Wireless 365 and it can apparently be made to work with Windows 10 using the last driver available from Dell, i.e. for Windows 7.

Have a look at this Dell Wireless 365 Bluetooth Module FIX article for more info.

      Hope this helps…
