We own two identical Dell Inspiron laptops. On my wife’s, this morning her bluetooth mouse stopped working. It also would not see the spare bluetooth mouse. Device manager is showing no bluetooth device. I reinstalled the dell bluetooth driver but nothing. SFC found a couple problems but I don’t see anything that changed. Powered down/rebooted, all the normal stuff. Should I assume the bluetooth hardware died? Thanks.

The mouse should have a button on it ot make it seek. Then the computer should pop up a box asking for a numerical (probably) value to pair the mouse with the computer. The pairing is necessary for the bluetooth device to connect.

(Be sure the mouse battery is good)

Try connecting your phone via BT to see if it’s working.

      cheers, Paul

So very weird, a few days later bluetooth was back. I can’t explain it. Both BT mice were just working again. I had already rebooted several times previously. I assume BT is back in device manager, too.
