I have a Galaxy A12 ‘smart’ phone.  Among the ‘chores’ its Bluetooth supports are traffic information in connection with my GPS unit on the car as well as making the phone usable originating and answering calls through the use of the car’s microphone/speakers.  It also links several data accumulating devices to the phone for read out.

Total it appears that Bluetooth has stopped communicating with the devices in the car as well as the personal data devices.

I have checked and everything is configured for it to work.  I tried to Bluetooth a photo from the phone to my W10 machine – and it failed to transmit.

When looking at the Bluetooth screen on my phone ‘originally’ it showed that the phone was paired with six or eight devices.  I went through and did a RESET of Bluetooth and only one personal data device showed up when a Bluetooth scan was initiated.

Looks like I am dead in the water and out of ideas.

After I shut down Bluetooth – THEN stopped the phone and then restarted the phone, with Bluetooth at that time STILL DOWN.  After the phone restarted successfully and when I started up Bluetooth – it then discovered the items that needed pairing.

Just Stopping and Starting Bluetooth with the phone operating did not do the trick.

Additionally – all Bluetooth devices have to have their pairing ended and then restarted after Bluetooth is restarted.  If not, Bluetooth doesn’t see them.

Just because you don't know where you are going doesn't mean any road will get you there.

Bluetooth worked for a couple of days and then failed again.  Took the phone to the store where I bought it and they couldn’t do anything with it either.  Ended up getting another phone.  That used up a afternoon moving data and apps and getting things working the way they should.
