Blue background white text
Was this feature discontinued in Word 2007? What should I do about it? If I manually change the background of each document to blue and put the color of the text font to automatic, will it automatically change the color of the font to white when the background is dark blue? If so, if I then forget to change the font color back to black and the background back to white before printing, will it print blue documents with white text?

The blue background with white text feature was used to emulate legacy versions of WordPerfect and has been removed from Word 2007.

There are some background page colors in Word that use white text. On the Page Layout ribbon, select Page Colors and choose one of the dark blue options, this will give you dark blue background with white text.

You can check a setting to make sure that the background color is not printed, so it should default to black text on white background for printing.
Open up the Word options dialog.
In the word options dialog select the Display options.
In the Printing Options section make sure that “Print background colors and images” is not selected.
