Some of them actually worked the first time. Or so I’m told. Post coming in Computerworld.

AskWoody LoungerAugust 31, 2017 at 3:01 pm #131496I think Paul Thurrott made some comment about how Windows 10 was supposed to have less update interruptions. We have never had so many updates placed on us especially with reboots as we have since Windows 10. This is a out right lie by Microsoft that Win 10 is better, its not.

AskWoody_MVPAugust 31, 2017 at 3:21 pm #131504Great. Just when you didn’t think a monthly patch regimen was manageable, now it’s every other day on average. I guess Microsoft is trying to be to the Agile model what “The Flash” is to superheroes?
But don’t worry, once you realize it has become all and only about updating Windows then it’s all good. Windows will sit stably idle all day awaiting the nightly patch process. It might even boot back up successfully for the next day’s idle run. I hear the plan is for that to be reliable after the next patch to the patching process, and of course after that patch has been evaluated by “Home” users for a while.

P.S., Woody, I love all the band aid and other graphics you come up with for your articles.

GuestAugust 31, 2017 at 4:43 pm #131521@Noel, as usual your comments are spot on. MS has truly lost its way I fear and the people responsible are too invested to alter course and regroup. I suppose that’s what keeps headhunters in business?
