If you create a temporary table with SQL and base a report off that table should you come back and delete the table using code after the report has been opened? Does that improve efficiency operation of the database? Thank you. Fay

You shouldn’t delete the table immediately after the report is opened. You could do so when the report is closed, but you can also leave it. When you run a make-table query the previous version will be deleted. (If you run an append query, you should delete all records first).

In either case, it is a good idea to compact the database regularly.
