Don’t be alarmed if you use Belarc Advisor and find that it still reports your new Windows 11 O/S as being Windows 10.  This is apparently a glitch in Belarc that will likely be correct soon.

    Best regards

Did you report the problem to them? They are great about fixing things and are highly responsive to users. I’m still on 21H1 so I haven’t seen this problem. I’ve been using Belarc Advisor for many years (so many I can’t recall exactly when I first got it…during XP Pro I think).

      Hello,

I also recently upgraded from win 10 to win 11 home. I have used belarc advisor since XP home 15 years plus l believe and this is the only glitch ever. Win 10 as the OS is incorrect and informing you of this error in hopes it will be useful. Please feel to contact me if I can furnish any useful information

Have you ever updated Belarc Advisor (i.e. downloaded a fresh version)?

          • #2543477

That worked. March 2023 and it was reporting Win 10. I re-downloaded it and installed over top. Now shows Win 11.

When you upgraded did you do it on eligible hardware or did you use one of the workarounds to install it on lesser hardware? If you use the workarounds it doesn’t update the registry entries to W11 but leaves them at W10. See this post.

I am running version 11.5a and it correctly identifies Windows 11 Pro build 22000.856.
