At http://personal-computer-tutor.com/abc1/v6/vic6.htm%5B/url%5D, there is a description of how to make a batch file to extract cab files from a CD. I used it in Win98. However, part of the instructions were to create a shortcut to the batch file that would allow you to enter the name of the cab file. Since Win XP doesn’t have DOS, this doesn’t work. i.e. where it says “Right click your new desktop shortcut and go to Properties. Click the Program tab. Enter a space and a ? mark at the end of the command line, ie: C:Windowscabx.bat ?”, that would bring up a dialog box to enter the name of the CAB file.

How can I modify the instructions, so I can still use this batch file?
    Thanks,
