I would like to add switchboard items to do

Compact & Repair

Back-up

I’ve had a search throgh the archives and not found anything. I presume somebody has written some code to call up for these options.

Compact can be done by using the RunCommand

DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdCompactDatabase

What exactly do you mean by “back-up”? There is no “backup” command for Access. Try a lounge search on backup for previous threads on this topic.
