I just bought a new Dell with Windows XP Home. I installed the Back up module included with Windows XP. I discovered that in order schedule back ups I needed to have a user password even though I am the only one using the computer. I can get the back up to back up manually but it will not schedule. I think it has something to do with naming the tapes. When I used Backup Exec the tape name would never be changed by the software. In this case whenever a new backup is made the software changes the name on the tape.. I’m not sure what I am doing wrong or is there a bug in the backup program.
