AVG Free Update

It seems that my ISP is inadvertently blocking access to the site which provides the updates for AVG Free. The program is able to access the site which provides details of the update required, but when it tries to download it, it is unable to make the connection.

I want to point the ISP in the direction of the site concerned, bu I can’t find out the URL, since it is internal to the program. Can anyone help?

I don’t use AVG myself, but here’s a thought: do you use a software firewall that logs HTTP requests? If so, you could start a manual update and see what gets logged.

I just checked for updates with mine, and observed the following:

Update Manager
New update ready (Level: Priority update). Next update check scheduled on 31/01/2007 10:15 AM from update.grisoft.cz, backup.grisoft.com.

Hope this is what you’re looking for. BTW, all the files on backup.grisoft.com are rather old???
