Windows 10, latest version.  For the past couple of months when I startup windows, 80% or so times all my programs that are supposed to start on startup DO in fact start.  But 20% (estimate) of the time, some programs do NOT.  If I go the options for the programs in question, the autorun checkbox has been turned off.  So I start them manually and recheck the autorun option.

Using Autoruns 64 (from sysinternals.com web site), the programs that do not start are all located in the same section: “HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run”.

It’s very annoying.  Anyone have a clue why this would happen?

For reference, the programs that do not start are Clipmate, PicPick, DesktopDigitalClock, and WizKey.

Do you run any third-party system cleanup programs that could be changing your settings?

Nope.  I run cleanup programs from time to time, but I haven’t run one in months.

Have you checked task scheduler for anything you don’t readily recognize?
