    Hello

I’ve read about MS Script, but never used it, so before starting ob the acquire software, learn software, apply knowledge route I want to know if it will do what I think it will….

My possible use for MS Script would be to open a data transfer programme, run it and shut it down. To do this I would need to be able to pass a password to the file transfer programme (not FTP, this pulls data off an AS400 onto our NT network), select a predefined criteria and run it. If the third party programme was an MS package I could manage this via automation, but will MS Script give me the automation functionality with a none MS product?

    Thanks

    Ian

I don’t know about MS Script, but while you’re waiting for someone to answer who does, why don’t you also have a look-see at AutoIt. It might just be able to help you out, and it’s free
