      Without knowing anything about this template, I would think the answer is YES (depending on IF the template creator allows to to modify any code in it!)

      The additional question is can you be specific about what you want to do in excel? You did NOT give us much to go on.

        This is the template from the Excel web site that I will use.
        I would love to be able to open a contact, click on a tool bar icon and have this invoice form open with the customer’s address, phone number etc automatically filled in. The only manual work would be filling in the billing info. The taxes are already calculated automatically. If this could be done it would be a huge step forward saving time.

          I don’t use OUTLOOK so I don’t know if there is a way to have excel read the contact list.
          What you could do is export the contact list to a worksheet

          Has some code to export Outlook contacts to Excel which might be useful.

          Once you have the information in a database, you can add a combobox from the FORMS toolbar linked to the contacts names. The cell link is the row number in the table so you can populate the address and city state zip fields using INDEX on the database linked to that row number.

          I attached an example of a database with the combobox lookup.
