I give up. Hopefully my “support group” can answer this one quickly as I know it should be easy. I obviously had it once but I can not remember how it was done.

There are two fields on the form that are supposed to automatically show the totals of other fields. One is for fields A and B. It works fine. Another field is supposed to show the total of field C and D and subtract E. It sort of works. Both of these fields were created at the same time about five years ago. Both have worked fine until just recently. Suddenly the second field will not show the total unless I click on it. Then it shows fine.

I have compared the properties setting for both fields. They look to be the same.

Where is the setting that makes the field calculate and show without being active? I don’t want this field to ever have the active focus.

You could always requery the two controls in the OnCurrent event of the form. Do you have any code running that might be affecting the second control? Is there a possibility of Nulls affecting it?

I don’t think I changed any settings. But I will check the Nulls. I know I went through this when I first set em up. But I can not remember how I finally solved it.

Requery?? I haven’t written a query for these. Just a formula in a text box.

Today it would let me click on one screen and then the rest would be OK. I hate it when the darn thing isn’t consistnt.

        Tnx for the suggestions.
