Automatic downloading (OE 6.00.2600)

For some unknown reason, OE has stopped automatically downloading email messages when I open it. Instead, I have to click “receive all.” I’ve changed no settings.

Go to ‘Tools‘ > ‘General‘ tab and double-check that ‘Send and receives messages at startup‘ is indeed checked.

If it is, then uncheck it, ‘Apply‘ > ‘OK‘ and close OE. Then reopen OE, check it, ‘Apply‘ > ‘OK‘ and close OE, then reopen OE once again. In addition, I would recommend you check ‘When starting, go directly to my ‘Inbox’ folder‘.

If that does not work for some reason, close OE, navigate to ‘C:Documents and SettingsYour UsernameLocal SettingsApplication DataIdentities{Your corresponding Identity value}MicrosoftOutlook Express‘ and delete ‘Pop3uidl.dbx‘.

Many thanks. Your last suggestion (deleting Pop3uidl.dbx) did the trick.
