    Hello

I was wondering if theres a registry setting to turn on the powerpoint option
goto the menu Tools>AutoCorrect Options> tab AutoFormat As You Type> select checkbox ‘AutoFit body text to placeholder’ to turn on?

    many thanks

I’m pretty sure it is stored in the registry, but by default it is on so why do you want to turn it on? Note that you can also temporarily turn it off for a given placeholder by using the AutoFit Options button that appears to the left of the text.

Apologies – yes I would like the setting turned off.

          Diana,

usual caveat ‘ dont mess with the registry – at your own risk – take a backup – etc etc ‘

          [HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftOffice11.0PowerPointOptions]

          “AutoFitTextBody”=dword:00000000
          “AutoFitTextTitle”=dword:00000000

I guess changing ‘dword’ from all the noughts (OFF) to
          dword:00000001

          equals ON

          Cheers
