    Hi,

Would anyone know where the settings from the autocorrect options are stored? (in the individual template or in a registry setting?)

A client of ours has changed the template we share and since the day they did so an odd error has occured on two different characters. (smart quote and dash)
I’m almost certain that the errors are caused by a change in their settings in the autocorrect options, but before suggesting a change, I will prefer to be sure as to where the setting is actually stored…

    THX

The autocorrect options are stored in the Settings entry in the HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftOffice11.0WordData key in the Windows Registry. This is a binary value, so it cannot easily be edited.
The unformatted autocorrect entries are stored in a file with extension .acl, and the formatted ones in Normal.dot.
