We are producing a slide show for our company reception.

How can I create an object on a slide that updates every day automatically?

I want to show the result of:
    (today’s date – start date)*250

    eg 25/6/02 – 22/6/02 = 3*250 = 750

I need to be able to update the start date easily and today’s date needs to update automatically every day. This maybe every time the slide show is run, but it is likely that the show will run continually so object would need to “recalculate” each time slide is displayed

      Open an Excel worksheet.
      Label your columns:
      Today

        Thanks Ryan,

I had achieved something similar using =Today() rather than now() (as the subtraction of dates works better).

But the issue is still the automation, I have tried recording a macro in pp but still need to find out how to get it to run every time the slide is displayed and to then update the calc (F9) in excel from pp. Alternative would be to write a function (easy bit) in pp and then put this onto the slide, but no idea how to get the function onto the slide.
