    Excel 2007.

    “Enable Auto-Complete for Cell Values” is checked under Excel Options/Advanced.

    Auto-Complete worked until a couple weeks back. There are no blank cells between my active cell and the previous text that should fill in quickly–not even if that text is just one cell above.

      To troubleshoot, maybe find a rogue row that is a problem–
      I have gone higher in my spreadsheet, inserted a row, tried to Auto-Complete the cell above. Then I’ve scrolled down and tried the same. Oddly enough, this problem is not tied to an absolute row point in the spreadsheet. In other words, I can be in Row 125 and Auto Complete works. Then I can go to Row 175 and it won’t. So I think the problem is in that 50-row range and I try to pinpoint it. The point at which Auto-Complete does or does not work, changes! Bottom line, it doesn’t work at all in new rows, which is where it matters!
