Is there any way to alter the Level 1 attachment security settings without editing the registry? I would at least like to receive a prompt for such file extensions as .exe.

you can use the com addin that edits the registry for you, but otherwise, you need to be using exchange server.

Where is this “com” add in? I am sorry but unfamiliar with it. I am not on an Exchange server since this is my home system.
