I’m not sure where this question goes, so if this is the wrong place, please move it.

I have been using AskWoody for years on both a Win7 Pro tower and two Win 10 Pro laptop computers. I created one password, and never had an issue logging in with any of the computers.

Susan Bradly just wrote that one of your vendors had been hacked. so out of precaution I changed my password yesterday via My account on AskWoody. All three computers have been rebooted since I made the change.

Now on my Win 7 computer, the ORIGINAL password works, but the new one does not.

On one of the Win 10 laptops, the NEW password works, but the original does not.

On the other Win 10 laptop, NEITHER the new nor the old password works.

I have tried today several different new passwords, and the results are always the same as above.

What is going on here, and how do I fix it?

Are the passwords saved in the browser?

No. They are normally saved in a utility named KeePass. But because I was having problems, I reverted to entering them manually at https://www.askwoody.com/login/.

      That didn’t work either.

Restart all machines and test again. This will clear the browser cache.

        Paul:

That was not the problem. It seems that I have to wait about 15-20 minutes between the time I create a new password until I try to use it.

After that time period, either entering the password manually or via KeePass works fine.

That sounds like an ISP cache somewhere.

I guess that is possible, but I have never had the problem with any other website when I changed the password. But whatever the issue, I can access AskWoody just fine now from any of my three computers.
