Are wider Outlook Scroll Bars possible?

Is there a way to widen the vertical scroll bars?  I am using the old version/style Outlook 2024 Home and Business.

Yes. The width and height of scroll bars in apps opened in Windows is controlled by Registry settings.
Open the Registry and go to this key in the left pane.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics

With WindowsMetrics selected in the left pane, look in the right pane for the value ScrollWidth. It usually has the default setting of -252.
Double click ScrollWidth which will open the Edit String box open and the Value data (-252) highlighted. Enter -400 to replace the -252 (the negative sign is important).
Press OK
Close the Registry.
You must reboot for the changes to take effect.

This will increase the width of all scroll bars in Windows. You can play with the number to get the size you want. The Registry setting will work from -1500 to 1500.

This works for Windows 10 and I have been told will work for Windows 11, but I have not tested on Windows 11.

Thanks Dana, that worked in Outlook.  -400 is a good value for my aging body.  will let you know if any other apps fail.

Tried on Windows 11 23H2 and it works in parts. This is a quick ‘straw poll’:

OK: Outlook 365, Onenote 365, Win 10 task manager. Kmymoney, Quicken XG, Powertoys, LibreOffice
Not OK: WhatsApp, Firefox

I’ll try on 24H2 later.
