The wireless Microsoft mouse that I use on my home PC stops working when the battery voltage reaches about 1.2 volts, which happens about every three months. I would like to find a rechargeable AA battery to use in this mouse, but my Eneloop batteries are only 1.35 volts open circuit at full charge, so the mouse won’t work with them. Are there any other rechargeable AA batteries that can deliver a full 1.5 volts, and/or are there any wireless mice that will work with Eneloop batteries? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

AskWoody_MVPMay 11, 2020 at 10:53 am #2261420Logitech M305, M310, M325, M330 wireless mice can handle the Energizer Rechargeable 1.2v AA NIMH batteries for several months that I have before I had to recharge them
edit – if you are looking for rechargeable 1.5v batteries (not 1.2v), there are not many to find and of course not cheap. you probably need the lithium-ion kind, not the NIMH variety which are commonly 1.2v

… or the very rare “RAM” batteries.
I’ve never seen these in stores or even listed in normal catalogs but I know the local military gets them from somewhere, for use with specific equipment that doesn’t work with 1.2V …

GuestOctober 18, 2022 at 8:52 pm #2489922I use a Logitech M510 and has no problem working with any commercially available AA Nickel-based rechargeable battery. I can use NiMHs, NiCads, and NiZn with no problem. I did not try using NiFes, however, because those are not sold in AA size, only in big-block size. Also, nickel lithium batteries have yet to be improved, so they are not on the market either.

AskWoody LoungerJune 20, 2020 at 4:56 am #2273740I use a Logitech M705 wireless mouse with NiMH rechargeable batteries @ 1.2 V and 2100 mAh (VARTA brand).
Mouse and batteries work fine and the batteries last months between chargings.(WARNING! I once spent days searching for the very small RF receiver of my spare mouse, while all that time it was stored inside the mouse! Not remembering were you stored the mouse’s receiver is as bad as losing it!)

AskWoody LoungerOctober 18, 2022 at 9:20 pm #2489946My Logitech M325 mouse works just fine using a single EBL 1.2v 2800mAh Ni-MH rechargeable AA battery with 5 — 6 months between recharges.
BTW, if you do get some 1.5V batteries, you’ll also need a charger specifically designed for that voltage. The regular AA/AAA chargers you’ll find in most stores and online only charge batteries up to between 1.2 — 1.4 volts.
