      Better to be back-ported than not ported at all. IOW why should Apple bother to patch that old device??

      Because there are users still running older OSs on old devices ?

      Thanks for the heads up, Susan. Turned on my old 7th gen iPod Touch after reading your post and received the latest iOS 15.8.4 update.
