Lots of APK extractors out there.  Does anyone have a recommended one that isn’t full of malware?

With the presumption that it’s for use on an Android-based device, here’s a link to one I found in the Google Play Store:

If you are indeed looking to use these on an Android device, please make sure to carefully scrutinize their data collection and data sharing policies, and scrutinize their required permissions as well before installing either one.

I found an APK extractor on the MS Store that claims to work with Windows, but it requires you to first install the Amazon Appstore before installing the APK extractor.  🙁

I ignored hits from other sites for the reason you specified…not wanting an app full of crapware. Even that’s no guarantee because I’ve read the odd report on occasion about the Play store having apps full of crapware that Google’s had to clean out of there.

7-Zip will extract .APK files or your other preferred archive utility program because they are .ZIP files.
