I’m not sure if this is the right forum for this but for lack of a better place…

A neighbor of mine sends me e-mail via AOL with graphics and or photo’s and text. The e-mail is received but when I open it, it’s blank. The header is there and all seems well, but no content. Others who are copied apparently have no problem. I’m insisting that the problem is on his end and not mine. I receive e-mail from others who use AOL and I do not have a problem in receiving, graphics, photos, or text. Occasionally his text might show up but it’s usually garbled or interspersed with various other non-sense characters or large spaces.

I’m using Win 7 64 bit, Firefox , Roadrunner web-based e-mail. I believe he is using Win XP and an older version of IE and of course AOL e-mail client. He not computer savvy and I’m not familiar with AOL. I think it’s an option he must change but I can’t tell him what or where.

My question, is it my system or his system and what can we do to solve problem?

Can you view the message as expected in IE8? If so, perhaps something in the message is creating a Firefox compatibility issue. If not, maybe it’s Roadrunner.

I’ve tried that also, same problem. I receive e-mails from other AOL users with no problem. Just yesterday I received two e-mails from this same friend and they came thru without problems. Go figure!
