Annoying Start Button

The Windows 7 start button is oversized to extend over the task tray. I happen to keep another application bar at that same point (Stumble Upon). Anybody know of a way to reduce the Start button to be within the bar?

If what you want is for the Start button to be within the task bar, Right click on the taskbar and click on properties. Uncheck the box in front of Use small icons. The Start button will then be within the taskbar.

Well, yes that works and thanks, but I was hoping to keep the small icons.
