I am trying to create an effect for our logo on the first slide of a presentation in Powerpoint 2007. I’ve used Photoshop to separate the logo into 3 different parts. The first two parts I fade in, then I want the last part, which is in the shape of a curved arrow, like a semi circular arc, to appear like it is being drawn progressively, from the tail end to the tip. I’ve been trying to do it with a freeform motion path using a background colored shape that is covering the arrow, but it is getting difficult to get it right.

Is there an easier way to do this?

    Thanks

Could you make an animated gif for the third part?
Start a new powerpoint presentation and use a dozen slides or so to create the effect you want.
Then Save the presentation as Gif format (selecting to save every slide)
The series of gifs can then be loaded into an animation manager (My version of Paint Shop Pro came with one) and saved as a ‘run once’ animated gif.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did not know you could make animated gifs so easily ( found it in my version of Photoshop). But to have it look as smooth as I want would take too many slides, and too much work. But in the process of checking that out I can up with a new variation of the appoach I mentioned in my first post, and I was able to get it to work well.

      Thanks
