Any way to insert, say, a .gif into an excel spreadsheet and actually see it move?

    Thanks

No, an animated .gif will display only the first frame when inserted into an Excel worksheet.

The .gif I want to insert only has one frame and it just sits there – INanimate!

If your .gif file has only one frame, it’s not animated, so what would you expect? scratch

Why do you keep expecting me to have a clue???? I get it – I’m the one who for years and years believed you could squeeze an electrical cord in two like a water hose and shut the electricity off –

I see now (said the blind man) – a .gif, by it’s very nature, is made of many frames, much like a cartoon –

            Sorry again
