How would one add a new action to the context menu (right-click) for email attachments? I’d like to use WordView and ExcelView instead of QuickView. I’m running Outlook 2000 (9.0.0.2711) under Windows 98SE (4.10.2222A). The MS Knowledge base says deleting HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTCLSID{0006F031-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}Verb3 removes Quick View, so I tried adding key#4. However, this didn’t even add a non-working entry to the menu.
Any ideas? I’d like to save some keystrokes over saving attachments and open them from Windows Explorer? Thanks.
Why? ‘Cuz the MS viewers give most of the Read-only functionality of the full program, but load and execute quickly.
